New Directions Support is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company which was set up to provide structured day opportunities and activities for adults who have disabilities who live in and around Stafford.

Having set up in December 2013 by Warren Low , Mandy Gibbs and Sara Jones the organisation saw a massive growth due to the high level of need in the local area.

From initially running just one morning a week from community center’s, the organisation moved into The HUB in September 2014 and the group now runs five days a week, has over 26 people attending and employs a staff team of 8 people.

A wide range of activities are offered, from craft workshops to video making, active sessions to drama, gardening to computer skills, and work experience to indoor games, and all sessions take place in small groups supported by the dedicated and enthusiastic staff team.

Warren Low, Managing Director said

“We are all delighted about the growth of New Directions Support in its first year, and we are very happy to have now been able to secure our wonderful new home here at the Hub.

It has given us a permanent base at the heart of the community which has meant that our staff team are able to meet more individual outcomes for people, and we can take advantage of the great facilities and help from the VAST staff at the Hub”.
